NY Giants Coach Shows MMA To Players Before Game

(“Watch out for the Guillotine!”)

Tom Coughlin, head coach of the N.Y. Giants, instead of playing the usual locker room music and highlight reel hits from the past season decided to change things up and show some highlight reel knockouts and fights from Mixed Martial Arts instead.

Kevin Boss of the N.Y. Giant’s told the Day.com He’s shown some good fights, guys getting beaten up pretty good,”

As it turned out Cornerback Thomas Terrel of the N.Y. Giants took the motivational footage to heart, securing a double leg takedown on Green Bay Packers receiver Donald Driver, followed by a quick ground and pound that involved using his shoulder.  The N.Y. Giants went on to lose that game 45-17, with many more skirmishes to follow. Perhaps showing your players fight footage instead of football highlights prior to a big game isn’t the way to keep them motivated?
